I liked reading and analyzing the past few readings each week. This weeks reading What Is an RSS Feed? (And Where To Get It) stood out to me because I didn’t know a lot of information on what an RSS was. After reading the article, I understand that RSS feeds help you stay up to date with information on blogs or other sites. I also learned how to find an RSS feed on a website through the videos. Since RSS feeds are on a lot of websites, I think it would be better to put RSS into my online usage, so that way it can prevent me from scrolling through useless content, which is a habit of mine.
Usage on social media has changed so much over the past couple years. I used to never use social media for anything, but now since it blew up and there are many different platforms I use it quite often. Our assignment for this week has a lot to do with usage on social media. It was a great way for myself to realize how much I go on social media and use different platforms. Whenever I’m working or in class I tend to never go on my phone because it looks unprofessional and there’s no reason to be on your phone during work or school. I wish the use of phones decreased because it was less of a hassle when they weren't around.
I also agree with you on your response regarding to RSS. I had never heard of RSS prior to reading this week. I also think that was something that we all have access to, yet we never registered what it really was and how to use it.
ReplyDeleteI also realized I go on social media a lot, especially after seeing all the statistics from our book. It does not surprise me how much social media is used or spent since we rely on it so much daily.
