Back At It With Social Media 101!
Just like everything else in the world, there are dos and don'ts when using social media. It's quite similar to etiquette guidelines. Interact with others, consistently share to keep feeds current, and most importantly, be real are my personal social media dos. Other things you should never do on social media include publishing too much stuff or any photographs that would give you a bad reputation. You should also avoid stealing other people's images because doing so could affect you in the long term.
Own Thoughts...
Social media is, in my opinion, somewhat overrated, but it can also be used to display a person's personality in some ways. Although it's not exactly a personality feature of mine, I do use the internet to show people what I do for a living. My online activity is reflected in the platforms I use and the posts I make. On social media, there are different viewpoints about its advantages for people.
I believe that anyone is free to post whatever they want as long as they are mindful of others' feelings. Because people have different viewpoints and might not agree with what is posted or stated, it can be very easy to offend people on social media. However, this is now the way life is. Additionally, while using social media, you are creating your own image and trying to represent yourself in that way. Although the content I post on various platforms is somewhat generic, it also has its own distinctiveness, which helps others understand who I am without me having to say it out loud.
Making TikTok videos and taking selfies are typical in this generation. I won't lie, I participate in these as well! They are also means of self-expression and image-making. When other people post on Instagram or TikTok, it's natural to compare yourself to others who are more successful or have a large following. Depending on the person, comparing oneself to others can either cause one to feel hurt or, conversely, might help one feel more confident. Although doing this is an addictive habit, it can undoubtedly deplete a person's mental strength. Many people I know have stopped updating their social media accounts because they need a break and it helps them to concentrate on what's really important in life. Everyone has their own perspective and methods of expression:)
